CURRENTLY SEPTEMBER

Happy Labor Day everyone!! Can you believe it is already September??!! School starts tomorrow for teachers with a PD tomorrow and Wednesday. Kiddos come back Thursday!! Seems like the summer flew by but I am ready for the new school year :) On that note, I am linking up with Oh Boy, Fourth Grade for Currently September!

Listening: I am a New Yorker who absolutely LOVES country music!! They recently added a country music radio station here and I obviously cannot stop listening to it :)

Loving: I am loving my new journey that I embarked on around 3 weeks ago! I started up a blog, then added my instagram, facebook, pinterest, bloglovin accounts, and also a TPT page. I wasn't sure how to really start on TPT, but figured it out quickly and am SO happy to be creating resources for not only PE teachers, but also for classroom teachers as well. I already have 17 followers and can't wait to see where my journey takes me :)

Thinking: I am thinking about the first day of school tomorrow! Kiddos don't come back until Thursday, so we will be having Professional Development tomorrow and Wednesday mornings and then we get to set up our classrooms, or in my case gymnasium!

Wanting: I want a spiced pumpkin latte from Dunkin Donuts!!! Now that September is here, maybe I can go get one?

Needing: I need to get everything I created for school in my car for tomorrow! I leave my house at 6am and don't want to pack it up in the morning!

3 Trips: I have been wanting to go to the Atlantis in Bahamas! I've also been dying to go with my husband to Disney World, just the two of us! Nashville is also a place where I want to visit soon... I have been there when I was a kid, but soo want to go back now!

Well that is all for Currently September!! Make sure to head on over to Oh Boy, Fourth Grade to link up! As soon as I set up my gym, I'll be sure to blog about it and show the tour with pictures!

TIME TO GET ORGANIZED!

Soo last year I probably wasn't as organized as I would've liked to be, and this year I decided to change that! I bought binders and binder tabs to help that process. I then created binder covers & I ABSOLUTELY LOVE them!!!! I was so happy how they came out!!

Next step is to work on the content that goes inside each of them, which I already have started. I added my tabs, which made my life already easier.

Since I am organizing my information from scratch, I figured why not make a new PE lesson template??

anddddd so I did!!

I am excited to transfer everything over from my previous template to this one. My previous one was 2-3 pages long and took up SO much space that my binder couldn't hold anything else! BUT NOW, it should be nice and neat and awesome!!

What do you guys think? If you like my editable binder covers, then go on over to my TpT page, http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/EDITABLE-Binder-Product-Covers-1406088.

BEHAVIOR MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Every year I come up with different ideas for behavior management systems so the kids can be excited about something new each year. Two years ago, I had a different baseball system... last year, I had football & track (along with PE tickets for prizes)... but this year I wanted to use the Clip Chart, but knew that it wouldn't work individually because I have 300 students.... Sooo I came up with a "Class" Clip Chart!

Each class will have their own baseball that will start on "Batter Up!" Each time the class deserves praise or recognition for positive behavior, their class will move their baseball up to Single, then to Double, Triple, Home Run and finally, Grand Slam! If the class gets to Grand Slam, then they will take a class picture and be "inducted" into Mrs. Piassek's Hall of Fame! Their picture, along with the date will be displayed in the gym. They will also receive a reward for their positive behavior!

*If a class misbehaves during a class period, I will give them 3 strikes, so essentially they will get 2 warnings. On the third "strike", I will move their class baseball back to "batter up"

My kiddos are going to LOVE this!

Check it out on my TpT store, http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Baseball-Themed-Behavior-Management-Clip-Chart-for-Positive-Behavior-EDITABLE-1394202!

ON THE SIDELINES WORKSHEET

For the past two years, I've had students come into PE saying they don't feel well, without the proper attire & students that don't follow the rules during the class. Instead of having them sit out and do nothing for 45 minutes, I came up with a meaningful and engaging worksheet for them to use. They fill it out and I file it away to keep track of how often a student is missing PE. I love how they came out!! They are now up on my TpT page, http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/On-The-Sidelines-Worksheet-Non-Participation-Worksheet-for-Physical-Education-1384161.

SUMMER PROJECT {HALL PASSES}

I am working on a bunch of things for September already! My most recent creation is for hall passes. This year, I wanted to stick to a theme for my crafts and bulletin boards....& of course it is an OWL THEME!! After I printed the passes, I laminated them (on my new Scotch Laminator!!) and will cut them and attach them to a lanyard for the kids to put around their necks.

This FREEBIE is now on my TpT page! There are 6 total passes:
boys bathroom, girls bathroom, hall, office & nurse's office!
Visit my TpT Page & download them for FREE :)
